Location: Limerick City & County Clare (future projects also across the region)
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: Full-time, permanent

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Foreperson / Site Manager / Construction Manager to join a main contractor with a strong pipeline of projects and looking to strengthen their management team.
Current works include a major warehouse in Limerick and multiple residential housing developments across County Clare. With further projects confirmed in both sectors, this role offers excellent career stability and progression within a growing mid-sized contractor.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour
- Report project progress, costs, and potential risks to senior management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all stages of work
- Monitor construction drawings and specifications, raising technical queries when required
- Liaise with design teams, consultants, and client representatives
- Drive schedules, resource planning, and workforce allocation on-site
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and manage logistics effectively
- Maintain accurate site documentation, records, and reporting
- Foster a strong site team culture focused on delivery and quality
Requirements
- Trade background or third-level qualification in Construction, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ site management or supervisory experience with a main contractor or developer – with Irish/UK experience needed.
- Proven track record on residential or industrial/warehouse builds
- Strong ability to manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Confident communicator with strong client and stakeholder liaison skills
- Irish/UK market experience highly advantageous
