Location: Limerick City & County Clare (future works across the region)
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Dependent on experience
Package: Vehicle and fuel card included

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Junior Project Manager / Site Manager / Construction Manager to join a respected medium-sized developer delivering a consistent pipeline of residential, warehouse, and mixed-use projects across Limerick and Clare.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to candidates ranging from an Engineer ready to step into wider responsibilities, through to experienced Site Managers or Forepersons seeking structured progression. You will support project delivery from early planning through to handover, working closely with senior management within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations with a focus on safety and programme delivery
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour effectively
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and procurement activities
  • Monitor quality, drawings, and specifications, raising queries when needed
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting, and project documentation
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and design teams throughout the project
  • Support project planning from pre-start stages through to completion
  • Contribute to building a positive, delivery-focused site environment
  • Assist with resource allocation and operational decision-making
  • Ensure smooth communication between site and senior management

Requirements

  • Degree or trade background in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 3–10 years’ site or project experience with a main contractor or developer – Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
  • Strong experience across residential, warehouse, or similar project types
  • Good ability to coordinate teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Strong understanding of site processes, safety, and compliance
  • Confident working with drawings, specifications, and technical details
  • Good communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
