Production Manager
Location: Go Galway

We are currently hiring for an experienced Production Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Galway. This company has a long-standing reputation in the Irish food industry, producing a wide range of high-quality products. With a focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability, the business prides itself on delivering products that meet strict customer and regulatory standards while maintaining operational excellence.

What the Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven track record in a Production Management role, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to plan and oversee day-to-day operations while driving performance improvements.
  • Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead, motivate, and support supervisors and production teams to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Manage and oversee production processes to ensure efficient use of plant, equipment, and resources.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and food safety requirements are met across operations.
  • Deliver customer orders on time and in line with quality specifications.
  • Prepare and monitor departmental budgets to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Monitor output and performance against KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimise downtime through effective scheduling.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure full compliance with audits, legislation, and food safety standards.
  • Maintain strong cross-departmental communication to identify and resolve operational challenges.
  • Keep up to date with developments in production technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Provide support and advice to senior management on all production-related matters.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, efficiency, and quality throughout the production team.
