Maintenance Manager
Location: Athy, Co. Kildare
Salary: €70-75k DOE + additional benefits
Permanent Full Time.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm, Fri 8am-3.30pm.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and upkeep of all company-owned property, equipment, and facilities. This role requires broad technical expertise (including welding, electrical, PLC programming, and CMMS administration), strong leadership, and proven ability to drive efficiency, safety, and quality in maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance strategy to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance through CMMS, including equipment setup, scheduling, and data analysis.

• Lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring skills and training remain aligned with industry standards.

• Monitor and improve maintenance quality through audits, inspections, and follow-ups.

• Manage departmental budget, spare parts strategy, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.

• Support and deliver site projects, outage planning, and interdepartmental initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a strong H&S culture.

• Maintain site and production areas to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

• Provide after-hours support for emergencies.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in a management role, 10+ years in manufacturing/production.

• Strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLCs and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).

• Experience with BMS, SCADA, and process control systems.

• Skilled in mechanical/electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
