Senior Logistics Coordinator
Location: Kildare 

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator within the FMCG industry for our well established client. This role will meet and supply logistics demands, support the Logistics Manager, and develop/manage team members. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure smooth supply chain operations and team development.

Duties

• Analyse forecast and liaise with sales and operations teams on supply/demand issues

• Manage sales contracts – timing/coordinating product, credit limits, and logistics

• Develop demand plans, interface on supply issues

• Maintain high control of inventory to ensure efficiencies

• React to market demand to ensure supply from traders

• Participate and lead logistics-related projects

• Support and liaise with sales and operations teams on order and supply management

• Propose and investigate cost-saving initiatives

• Provide regular status/communication reports to customers/traders

• Ensure that all logistics paperwork is accurate and produced in a timely manner

• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely supply of product

• Liaise with carriers to ensure there are sufficient trailers for loading on time every time

• Ensure key business partners are updated daily on any supply issues that may arise

• Liaise with Department of Agriculture to ensure veterinary procedures are upheld

• Investigate new market opportunities, assuring approval and lifting barriers to trade in new countries

• Support the Technical Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System

• Oversee stock control and rotation

• Handle credit control

• Act as the link between logistics co-ordinators and the Logistics Manager

• Train, develop, and manage members of the logistics team

• Provide any other support as per business demands

Requirements

• Experience in the FMCG industry and logistics is essential

• Proven people management skills

• Excellent data entry, Excel, and Outlook skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Flexibility and ability to manage change

• Some travel will be required

• Eligibility to work in Ireland is required
