Location:

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Project Manager to join Ireland’s strongest planning and environmental consultancies. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects from initial concept right through to final handover, with a strong focus on planning and environmental elements. You will work on a variety of public and private sector projects across sectors such as higher education, life sciences, commercial, leisure, residential, and public realm.

You will oversee multiple projects concurrently, managing the design, consenting, and construction stages, while ensuring compliance with planning regulations and environmental considerations. Acting as the link between clients, consultants, contractors, and statutory bodies, you will ensure each stage runs smoothly and meets agreed objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through all stages – from concept to completion
  • Ensure compliance with planning regulations and environmental standards
  • Coordinate procurement of design teams and contractors
  • Act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance against agreed milestones and goals
  • Prepare accurate and detailed project reports and documentation
  • Oversee day-to-day coordination of project activities
  • Address planning or environmental matters arising during construction
  • Lead communication with statutory bodies, community groups, and contractors
  • Support the delivery of high-quality, impactful projects

Requirements

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Landscape Design, or Construction Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within and lead multidisciplinary teams
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduation experience in construction-related professional services
  • Experience managing or working within client design teams
  • Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Irish/UK experience highly advantageous
