Electrician QC
Location: Cork
Salary: €60k + Vehicle + Subsistence
Full Time Permanent

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician (QC) to join a leading Irish process control, automation, and instrumentation services provider. This full-time, permanent role is field-based, operating primarily across the Munster area and will involve travel.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Completion of Solas Electrical Apprenticeship.

  • Electrical QC qualification.

  • Experience with MCC control circuits, flow meters, and radio systems/data loggers.

  • Confined space and working-at-heights capability (training provided).

  • Ability to read technical diagrams, P&ID, and electrical schematics.

  • Strong knowledge of test equipment and electrical repairs.

  • Proactive, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Full clean driving licence, Safe Pass, and relevant safety training.

  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills.

Role Summary
As part of a highly skilled project delivery team, you will provide professional electrical installation works across a variety of projects. This includes tasks relating to instrumentation, PLC & Telemetry panels, cable containment, and the commissioning of analytical telemetry equipment. In addition to core electrical duties, you will carry out Quality Control (QC) activities, ensuring all work meets the required safety, regulatory, and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, cable containment, and telemetry MCCs.

  • Install radio telemetry equipment, including antennas and rigging fixtures.

  • Install variable speed drives and terminate indoor/outdoor cabling.

  • Conduct inspections of MCCs, circuit breakers, and other components.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

  • Repair and replace electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

  • Ensure compliance with ETCI and National Code of Practice guidelines.

  • Participate in FAT testing and liaise with relevant electrical teams.

  • Perform inspections of completed works and ensure Safe Electric documentation is accurate.

  • Provide technical feedback to management.

  • Supervise Safe Electric compliance within the organisation.

  • Support and advise colleagues on major electrical installation works.
