Architectural Technician
Location: Limerick
Salary: €28k-35k DOE

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join a busy and growing architectural practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take a leading role in projects, develop comprehensive technical drawing packages, coordinate with consultants, and support the delivery of projects from planning through to construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation in line with building regulations and project requirements.

• Translate conceptual and schematic designs into fully coordinated technical packages.

• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, M&E, and specialist consultants.

• Prepare and submit planning and building regulation applications.

• Carry out site visits and prepare site reports under the direction of the Project Architect.

• Identify technical issues, propose practical solutions, and highlight buildability concerns.

• Keep up to date with industry standards, building regulations, and product innovations.

• Maintain exceptional accuracy and high-quality graphic presentation in all outputs.

Skills & Experience Required

• Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent).

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ post-qualification experience within an architectural practice.

• Excellent knowledge of building regulations, codes, and construction methodologies (ROI and/or UK preferred).

• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit preferred); BIM workflow experience is highly advantageous.

• Strong track record in producing working drawings, tender packages, and construction detailing.

• Solid understanding of materials, building envelope design, and specification writing.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team.

• Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
