Senior Site Manager – Residential Housing

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Senior Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-quality housing development in County Laois. The project is being delivered by a reputable main contractor, with approximately one year remaining on the programme. The development comprises a medium-to-large scale residential scheme involving traditional housebuilding. This role will suit an experienced site professional with a strong background in residential construction and the ability to manage multiple trades through final stages of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of a live residential site
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics
• Ensure quality standards and specifications are strictly met
• Oversee programme delivery, ensuring key milestones are achieved
• Lead site meetings and liaise with design and project teams
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Conduct regular inspections and drive continuous improvement
• Track material orders, deliveries and control site resources
• Report progress to Project Manager and company leadership
• Manage snagging and handover processes as homes reach completion

Requirements

• 12+ years’ site management experience in residential construction
• Proven track record in delivering housing projects (Ireland or UK)
• Strong leadership, communication and team coordination skills
• Full clean driver’s licence required
• Trade background or relevant construction-related qualification
• Sound understanding of construction regulations and compliance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
