Senior Site Manager / Project Manager
Location: Limerick City
Salary: c.€75,000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Senior Site Manager or Project Manager to oversee a high-spec hospital construction project based in Limerick City. The build is currently in the early delivery stage, with approximately 18 months remaining on the programme.

This role will see the successful candidate manage day-to-day site operations, technical coordination, programme oversight, and subcontractor performance—reporting directly to senior leadership and working closely with both internal and external stakeholders. It presents a strong opportunity to take full ownership of a landmark healthcare build during a critical phase of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activity, programme, and technical delivery
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure efficient workflows
• Enforce best practice health & safety across all trades
• Maintain strict quality standards and documentation records
• Interface with client-side teams, consultants, and design leads
• Conduct site meetings and maintain accurate reporting structures
• Identify delivery risks and contribute to mitigation strategies
• Promote strong team performance and clear communication
• Input on cost control and procurement tracking where relevant
• Ensure programme targets and milestones are met

Requirements

• Third-level qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, or similar
• 7+ years’ experience delivering complex construction projects
• Proven work on healthcare or large commercial builds
• Strong site leadership and programme coordination skills
• Background managing specialist subcontractor packages
• Excellent grasp of safety, compliance, and quality frameworks
• Confident in using IT tools (e.g. MS Project, Office Suite)
• Irish or UK project experience highly advantageous
