M&E Co-Ordinator – Carlow (Pharma Projects)

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced M&E Co-Ordinator to oversee Mechanical and Electrical packages on critical pharmaceutical and industrial projects across the Southeast.
With a secure pipeline of mid-sized projects ranging from €1–20 million, this main contractor delivers a variety of works from high-end internal fit-outs to complex civil and infrastructure packages for industry-leading clients.
The successful candidate will join an established team. Projects tend to be based within the Southeast, with maximum travel 1 hour to site. Ideal candidate will have experience as a Co-Ordinator, and strong experience with both Mechanical & Electrical construction.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate all M&E services on-site from pre-construction through to handover
• Liaise with design teams, subcontractors, and the client on technical aspects
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance
• Manage M&E snagging, commissioning, and documentation
• Monitor installation quality and ensure adherence to programme
• Support procurement, programming, and budget tracking of M&E packages
• Lead coordination meetings with key project stakeholders
• Attend site inspections and provide regular progress reports
• Resolve any clashes or issues with existing infrastructure
• Support wider project management and site teams when required
Requirements
• Relevant third-level qualification in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical or Construction
• 5+ years’ experience in M&E coordination roles on pharma, food, or industrial sites
• Strong technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems
• Excellent coordination and problem-solving skills across multiple teams
• Experience delivering projects to cleanroom or regulated standards (desirable)
• Proficient in reviewing construction drawings, specs, and O&M manuals
• Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to client delivery
• Irish/UK experience is highly advantageous
