Responsibilities and Duties

• Support and participate in routine health and safety inspections across various construction sites
• Assist in reviewing and maintaining documentation such as RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
• Contribute to the regular updating of site-specific safety plans and risk assessments
• Support the development and review of safe operating procedures and company safety policies
• Help implement corrective actions following site audits
• Assist in investigating and reporting incidents, near misses, and accidents in a timely manner
• Provide documentation and reporting support for insurance and compliance purposes
• Review subcontractor safety documentation and ensure compliance with site standards
• Maintain and update on-site safety files and registers
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to identify safer work methods and ensure continual improvement of safety practices

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A minimum of 1 year of health and safety experience in a construction environment
• A relevant Health and Safety qualification
• A solid understanding of working at height and knowledge of lift planning
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience working across multiple project sites
• Competence in using standard IT systems and reporting tools
• Previous experience conducting site safety audits
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach to health and safety management
