Electrician (Full Time Role)– 3-Cycle Shift
Location: South Tipperary
Hours: Rotating Shifts – 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM | 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM | 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Sector: Production
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a well-established food production company in Clonmel. This is a permanent opportunity operating on a 3-cycle shift.

The successful candidates will be part of a proactive engineering and maintenance team, supporting production and site operations with electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and general maintenance. The company offers long-term stability, shift pay, and the opportunity to develop within a regulated and forward-thinking environment. Strong maintenance team of approx. 7/8 in total.

Salary & Benefits
• €53-60k+ per year (Hourly Rate with Shift Allowance)
• Shift-based role: 3-cycle rotation (night and weekend work applies)
• Long-term permanent role with opportunities for progression

Responsibilities
• Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs across site machinery
• Respond to electrical breakdowns and assist with root cause analysis
• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams on shift
• Carry out safety checks and maintain compliance with site procedures
• Support plant improvements and general facilities upkeep
• Document work carried out and ensure systems are up to date
• Participate in maintenance meetings and shift handovers
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all areas

Requirements
• Fully qualified Electrician with valid certification (Ireland or equivalent)
• Some maintenance experience in a regulated or industrial setting desirable
• Ability to work effectively across all three shift patterns
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience working within production or similar environments an advantage
• Capable of working independently and within a team
• Good communication and record-keeping abilities
• Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in a production setting
