Setting Out Engineer – Residential Housing
Location: Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford (Site-Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: €45,000 – €60,000 (Depending on experience)

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Setting Out Engineer for a residential housing development in Enniscorthy. The company, a well-established private developer, has a strong pipeline of work in both Enniscorthy and Wexford Town, offering secure long-term prospects for the successful candidate.

The role will involve overseeing setting out duties and technical site coordination on a busy housing development, working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and design team to ensure project accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities
• Carry out precise setting out using Total Stations and GPS
• Coordinate drawings, levels, and site information with accuracy
• Work alongside the Site Manager and Project Manager
• Assist in maintaining programme schedules and documentation
• Oversee quality checks and adherence to design specs
• Manage survey data and ensure dimensional accuracy
• Liaise with subcontractors and resolve on-site queries
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Requirements
• 3+ years’ experience as a Site/Setting Out Engineer (Ideally in Ireland/UK)
• Strong experience using Total Stations and GPS highly desirable
• Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or Construction
• Previous experience on residential or housing projects preferred
• Strong technical, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a close-knit team
