Document Controller
Location: Waterford

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Document Controller to join our clients growing team. This leading company operates across multiple international markets, delivering complex and large-scale projects in a fast-paced and evolving industry. Working in close partnership with local experts and stakeholders, offering unique solutions tailored to the needs of each project. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and oversee document management systems and processes to support project execution.
  • Receive, review, log, distribute, and securely archive project documentation, including drawings, technical documents, permits, RFIs, and correspondence.
  • Maintain strict version control and ensure documents are accurately labelled and tracked in compliance with internal protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, construction, HSE) and external partners (clients, subcontractors, suppliers) to ensure timely document exchange and approval workflows.
  • Keep comprehensive electronic and physical records to ensure full traceability and easy retrieval of project documentation.
  • Support compliance efforts by ensuring all necessary documentation is accessible for audits and inspections.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of final project documentation packages, including operation manuals, as-built drawings, and certifications.
  • Generate regular reports on document status, outstanding items, and compliance checklists.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on document management best practices and system usage.
  • Perform other tasks as required by management to support project needs.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in document control, preferably within the construction, engineering, or project-based industries.
  • Knowledge of document control standards, including ISO 9001.
  • Experience using document management systems (such as SharePoint, Aconex, Procore, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills, capable of managing high volumes of documentation under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective coordination with various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Legally authorised to work in Ireland.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working on renewable or infrastructure EPC projects.
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation and technical language.
  • Experience providing support to quality assurance, health and safety, or project delivery functions.
