M&E Coordinator – Main Contractor
Location: Southeast (Wexford / Waterford / Kilkenny / Wicklow region)

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced M&E Coordinator to join a respected Tier 2 contractor operating across the Southeast. With an initial focus on smaller-scale projects in Wexford, Kilkenny, and surrounding counties, this is an ideal role for someone based in the region seeking a mix of office and site-based work.
The company deliver projects across residential, educational, commercial, and leisure sectors, and are seeking someone to oversee M&E elements across a number of concurrent schemes. Strong progression potential and pipeline secured for 2025 and beyond.

Responsibilities
• Coordinate and review M&E packages on active construction sites
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely and safe delivery
• Monitor and track technical submissions and approvals
• Liaise with consultants, design teams, and client reps
• Ensure compliance with design specs, safety, and BCAR obligations
• Maintain site documentation and meeting records
• Support site and project teams on buildability and sequencing
• Deliver handover information and support snagging close-out
Requirements
• Degree in Building Services, Engineering, Construction, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in an M&E Coordinator or similar role
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with BCAR processes and on-site installation
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Strong IT proficiency (Word, Excel, BIM platforms, etc.)
• Irish/UK site experience highly advantageous
