Senior Project Mechanical Design Engineer

Dublin South / Hybrid

As a Senior Project Mechanical Design Engineer, the successful engineer will oversee projects across the EMEA region, managing the full project lifecycle from initial concept to client handover.

This role offers a hybrid remote arrangement in Ireland, requiring attendance at the Dublin office as determined by the team's schedule.

The successful individual will have the following:

• The ability to lead the design of mechanical building services for projects in the data centres, industrial/high-tech, and commercial sectors.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Hold a professional qualification.
• Excellent communication skills – written & verbal.
• Ability to lead projects and take briefs from the project lead on large projects, delivering and controlling the required tasks.
• Good understanding of HVAC and building controls, experience in the design of plumbing and drainage systems is advantageous.
• Excellent report writing skills and the ability to explain complex engineering issues.
• Training and professional development of junior team members.

Duties of the role will include:

• Report progress to the Group Management Team.
• Oversee the development and workload of team members to optimise productivity.
• Develop strong client relationships to deliver tailored solutions.
• Understand contract terms and conditions to control scope creep and maintain project integrity.
• Delegate tasks strategically to achieve maximum value.
• Manage quality control within projects to ensure deliverables meet established standards.
• Engage in resource management to optimise resource allocation and project execution.
• Manage, motive and develop team members.
