Project Environmental Scientist
Location: Galway / Hybrid

We are proud to partner with our client, a leading consultancy specializing in planning, environmental, and health & safety services. With a dedicated team of professionals, that are renowned for delivering innovative solutions across a variety of challenging projects.

A full-time position is available for a Environmental Scientist to join our clients established and expanding Environmental team.

The role involves working on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects across sectors such as waste management, water and wastewater utilities, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

The key requirements of the post will be:

• A 3^rd level qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related fields that give the candidate the necessary skills to complete role
• A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in fulfilling similar functions or in a similar role
• A good understanding of the Irish planning system
• Broad range of project experience at EIAR/Planning/Construction stage
• Good knowledge of civil engineering, construction management, ecology, hydrology/hydrogeology, noise, air, traffic, geotechnical and other EIAR subject areas and the interrelationships between them.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the Environmental Team Director on projects
• Take ownership of projects from inception to completion and provide regular project updates to the Environmental Team director and clients
• Prioritise projects while balancing client expectations, available staff resources and project deadlines
• Support the team in winning new projects
