Finishing Foreperson – High-Rise Residential Development
Location: South Dublin
Sector: Residential & Mixed-Use Development
Role Type: Full-Time – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (with potential for extension)

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to support the delivery of a major high-rise residential development in South Dublin. This €90 million project comprises over 350 apartments, integrated retail units, and associated public infrastructure upgrades, including an underground car park.

The successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating subcontractors and ensuring all finishing works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme performance. You’ll join an experienced site team, contributing to the day-to-day progression of a significant residential development from shell to final finish.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise finishing activities and general site works across the project
  • Coordinate trades and subcontractors to meet programme milestones
  • Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with design and spec standards
  • Implement Health, Safety, and Welfare procedures at all times
  • Attend site meetings and provide regular progress reports
  • Liaise with internal departments for procurement and cost control
  • Track hours worked and liaise with HR and payroll for reporting
  • Ensure plant and equipment are operated safely and correctly
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Foreman on medium to large-scale builds
  • Residential and/or basement/underground car park experience advantageous
  • Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate trades and ensure programme compliance
  • Familiar with site reporting and basic project documentation
  • Trade background or construction-related qualification preferred
  • First Aid and CIF Managing Safely certification desirable
  • Experience on high-rise projects highly advantageous
  • Irish or UK experience is highly advantageous
