Driver / Operator – Environmental Services

Location: Nationwide (Based in Tipperary)
Sector: Environmental Services – Industrial & Pharmaceutical Support
Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Minimum 45 hours per week
Pay Rate: €17.85/hour (increasing to €18.85 after 6 months) (€42k per annum)
Weekend Work: Paid at time and three-quarters (1¾)

About the Role

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Driver / Operator (C Licence) for industrial and pharmaceutical site operations across Ireland. This role combines HGV driving duties with operation of specialist on-vehicle jetting and suction equipment. You will join a well-established technical support team, working with a modern, well-maintained fleet to deliver site-based solutions to high-profile clients.

This is a full-time, permanent role with overtime potential and scope for long-term progression.

Responsibilities

• Operate rigid HGV (C licence) vehicles across nationwide client sites
• Carry out jetting and suction services using onboard equipment
• Conduct routine checks and maintain vehicle presentation and safety
• Work safely on pharmaceutical and industrial facilities across Ireland
• Comply with all road safety and environmental regulations
• Assist teams on-site where required for effective service delivery
• Follow all internal procedures and documentation protocols

Requirements

• Valid C Licence and full CPC certification
• Digital tachograph card
• Experience in jetting, suction, or drainage work advantageous
• Comfortable working in pharmaceutical and industrial settings
• Ability to travel regularly across Ireland (overnights may apply)
• Manual handling and Safe Pass preferred
• ADR certification a plus but not essential
