EHS Adviser
Location: North Dublin

Optimize Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading and long-established main contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments throughout Ireland and the UK.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced EHS Adviser to join their team on a large-scale residential project based in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a health & safety professional with a solid background in the construction sector to join a progressive and reputable contractor.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities on-site, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and best practices.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance.
  • Promote a positive EHS culture across the site, engaging with site teams and subcontractors to drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and other relevant training to ensure all site personnel understand EHS expectations.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and follow up with preventative measures.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
  • Liaise with project management teams and subcontractors to monitor and advise on EHS issues.
  • Ensure the implementation of the company’s Safety Management System throughout the project.

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Health & Safety (e.g., Diploma or Degree level).
  • 3+ years of EHS experience within the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish health, safety & environmental legislation.
  • Proven ability to work independently on-site and communicate effectively with various project stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills.
  • Previous experience working on residential or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel to site in North Dublin.
