Civil Technician

An established and highly regarded engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Technician to join their Civil Engineering design team in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to take the next step in their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

Key Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in a similar civil engineering technician role

• Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent

• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D; experience with Autodesk Civil 3D is essential

• Familiarity with Autotrack and Causeway Flow is an advantage

• Strong ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering drawings

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

• Proven commitment to Continual Professional Development (CPD)

• Strong IT literacy

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, including:

• Site development works

• Roads and transportation infrastructure

• Public health and utility infrastructure

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing 2D drawings in AutoCAD and 3D models using Civil 3D

• Ensuring all drawings are completed to the required technical standards and delivered on time

• Overseeing and reviewing work prepared by junior technicians

• Attending design team meetings and undertaking site inspections as required
