Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering
Location: Dublin City & County (Leinster-based projects)
Salary: €85,000 - €100,000 (DOE)
Package: Vehicle, Fuel Card, Pension, Laptop, Phone, Statutory Sick Pay, Career Development Support

About the Role
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of civils and public realm contracts across Dublin and Leinster. This role involves providing commercial support to project teams, managing costs, and ensuring contractual compliance while liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Salary & Benefits

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely cost and value reporting at project and business unit levels
  • Manage forecasting, cash flow reporting, and monthly commercial plans
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement, letting, and financial accounting
  • Support project teams on variations, claims, and additional payments
  • Ensure adherence to commercial processes across all projects
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and third parties
  • Engage with local authorities, utilities, and County Councils on project matters
  • Supervise and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial support staff
  • Collaborate with site teams for effective project delivery
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial procedures

Requirements

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Proven experience in the civil engineering industry
  • Strong knowledge of contracts and current construction law
  • Extensive experience in procurement and commercial management of subcontractors
  • Ability to manage monthly reporting and earned value analysis
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills for junior commercial team members
  • Excellent team player with ability to work independently
