Scaffolder – Residential Housing Project – Strong Main Contractor
Location: New Ross, Wexford
Salary: DOE
Sector: Residential Construction (Initially)

About the Role:
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a qualified Scaffolder for a residential development in Wexford, consisting of 50 two-storey housing units. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced scaffolders seeking flexible engagement — available on a short term or full-time basis, with strong potential to transition into a long-term position.

The right candidate will be considered for continued work across upcoming housing projects in Wexford and Wicklow, with steady pipeline activity over the next 12–18 months. Scaffolders will be required during key stages of the build for erection, adaptation, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely erect, adapt, and dismantle scaffolding as required
  • Coordinate with site teams during phased construction works
  • Carry out scaffold inspections and ensure safe working access
  • Read and follow scaffold layouts or verbal instructions
  • Maintain compliance with site safety protocols and standards
  • Secure scaffold materials and tools on-site appropriately
  • Support general site activities if scaffold work is not ongoing
  • Report any hazards or adjustments needed to site management

Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in scaffolding roles, ideally in Ireland/UK industry.
  • Relevant certification (e.g. CSCS or equivalent scaffolder card)
  • Strong awareness of working at height safety
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a crew
  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
  • Own transport required
