Site Manager – Educational Project
Location: Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow
Salary: €65k – €75k+ (DOE)

About the Role:
Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Site Manager for a large-scale educational project based in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow. This is a key appointment on an 18-month public sector build, reporting directly to the Contracts Manager. The company is a well-established main contractor, known for delivering complex public and private sector builds across Ireland.

With a strong presence in the Wicklow and Wexford regions, they offer a long-term pipeline of work and career development opportunities for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily site operations ensuring programme, quality and safety compliance
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate site logistics
• Monitor progress and resolve any on-site issues efficiently
• Lead site meetings and report to senior management
• Ensure all work meets client specifications and regulatory standards
• Promote a safe working environment and maintain H&S protocols
• Support project planning and drive progress toward milestones
• Liaise with design teams, engineers, and local authorities
• Maintain site records and documentation accurately
• Represent the contractor in a professional and proactive manner

Requirements:

• Engineering degree or construction trade background
• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Site Manager
• Strong experience on commercial or educational projects
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to spec
• Excellent team leadership and coordination skills
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Full Irish driving licence
• Irish or UK experience is highly advantageous
