End-of-Line (EoL) Tester

Location: Portlaoise, Co. Laois

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: €35-45k DOE + additional benefits.

Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturer of climate control and air handling equipment, is currently seeking an experienced End-of-Line (EoL) Tester to join their team at a modern manufacturing facility based in Portlaoise. This role is critical to the final stages of the production process, ensuring products meet exacting performance and quality standards before dispatch.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed end-of-line testing on assembled units using test rigs and diagnostic equipment.

• Perform visual inspections and functional checks to detect defects, inaccuracies, or safety issues.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and product specifications to verify product integrity.

• Record and report test data accurately, highlighting non-conformities to the production and quality teams.

• Liaise with engineering and production teams to resolve test failures or product issues.

• Maintain test equipment and ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures.

• Contribute to ongoing process and quality improvements.

• Ensure compliance with internal testing protocols and external quality standards.
  
  Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant technical qualification (NFQ Level 6 or above) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, or test environment, preferably within HVAC, electrical, or mechanical industries.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues effectively.

  • Ability to work from technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.

  • High attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a cross-functional team.

    Desirable:

    • Knowledge of HVAC systems and air handling units is a distinct advantage.

    • Experience working in ISO 9001 or Lean Manufacturing environments.

    • Familiarity with PLCs and control systems would be beneficial.
