Architectural Technician - Design Lead
Location: Kilkenny
Salary: €60,000 – €70,000 + additional benefits

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Design Lead on behalf of a leading company within the cleanroom construction and engineering sector. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic project team based in Kilkenny, working on major cleanroom projects across Ireland and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate and technically sound design documentation in line with project briefs and timelines.

• Work closely with internal teams including Design Managers and Project Engineers to ensure all design elements align with project requirements and scope.

• Conduct thorough reviews of technical documentation, ensuring compliance with specifications while identifying cost-effective solutions.

• Oversee and quality-check drawings, schedules, and documentation prior to issue.

• Liaise with project and procurement teams to ensure clarity and coordination across all design stages.

• Compile and issue handover documentation to the client.

• Conduct site visits to support constructability reviews, capture survey data, and address design queries.

• Produce architectural deliverables using Revit, adhering to internal standards and client expectations.

• Assist in project planning and resourcing and contribute to the improvement of internal design processes.
  
  

Candidate Profile:

• Level 7 or 8 qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

• At least 2 years’ experience in a design-related role within construction or engineering.

• BIM qualification highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of design software including Revit and Navisworks.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Project Management qualification or diploma is an advantage.
