Site/Setting Out Engineer – Educational Project – Major Irish Contractor
Location: Limerick City (On-site)
Salary: €40k – €60k (Depending on Experience)

Optimize Recruitment, working with our client – a leading Irish main contractor – are seeking a Site/Setting Out Engineer for a high-profile educational project located in Limerick City. Responsibilities:

• Setting out using Total Stations and GPS to ensure accuracy on-site
• Ensuring Health & Safety practices are adhered to at all times
• Supporting the Site Manager and Senior Engineer with day-to-day site activities
• Reviewing technical drawings and ensuring build accuracy
• Liaising with subcontractors to communicate technical information
• Keeping detailed records of site activities and progress
• Coordinating deliveries and tracking materials on-site
• Carrying out quality checks in line with company standards
• Flagging any site issues or delays to the senior site team
• Maintaining an organised and safe site environment

Requirements:

• Third-level qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
• Minimum 2+ years’ site experience with a main contractor or subcontractor
• Strong setting out experience using Total Stations and GPS (Highly Desirable)
• Solid understanding of construction methods and Health & Safety
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a site team
• Experience with technical drawings and documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant construction software
