Maintenance Technician
Naas, Kildare
Hours: Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:30
Salary: €26.50/hour + 15% shift premium
Experience: 2+ years exp. in FMCG sector required

The successful individual will have the following:

• A relevant 3rd level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician or Fitter
• 2+ years’ experience in a maintenance role.
• Experience in a similar maintenance role within an FMCG industrial plant.
• Experience of machine control diagnostics would be beneficial to your application, as would strong industrial mechanical service and repair skills 
• Identify & execute machine / line improvement projects 
• Have experience of a wide range of Electrical Control Systems, temperature, and PLC/PC Controlled Systems
• Instrumentation and programming 
• Demonstrate excellent problem solving skills

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide maintenance support to the production facility
• Carry out wiring installation and commissioning
• Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of plant equipment
• Carry out facility checks which includes meter readings, reports and resolving discrepancies within Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting & electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC controlled plant
• Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
• Minimise downtime in production and utility areas
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate
• Troubleshoot using PLC Programs/wiring diagrams etc
• Technical support for all the plant facilities and services, including compressed air & refrigeration.
