Quantity Surveyor – Telecommunications Projects
Location: Kilkenny or Little Island, Cork
Salary: €48,000–€50,000 plus package 
Hours: Full-time​

Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join a leading utilities service company specialising in the Energy and Telecoms sectors. About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Fibre rollout project, overseeing cost management and contract administration.   • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities​
  • Develop cost plans to assist design teams in creating practical designs​
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and negotiate terms​
  • Monitor project costs and manage expenditures​
  • Track project progress and assess work variations​
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers​
  • Forecast project costs to completion and final value​
  • Conduct on-site valuations and prepare progress reports​

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in quantity surveying​
  • At least 2 years' experience working with contractors​
  • Background in Telecommunications and/or Construction sectors​
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to present findings​
  • Familiarity with principal civil methods of measurement and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI​
  • Excellent standard of written and verbal English
