General Foreperson – Large-Scale Residential Development

Location: Sandyford, South Dublin
Salary: €65,000 – €80,000 D.O.E.
Project: High-Rise Residential Development with Underground Car Park
Experience: 7+ Years in a Foreperson Role
Role Type: Full-Time, On-Site

About the Company

Our client is a leading developer with a strong track record in delivering residential and commercial projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. They are currently developing a €90 million high-rise residential project in South Dublin, consisting of 350+ apartments, retail units, and public infrastructure upgrades.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced General Foreperson to oversee key construction activities on this high-profile project. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role involves managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained throughout the build.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and site teams to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensure strict health & safety compliance across all site activities.
  • Oversee quality control and adherence to project specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and management to support smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress updates and safety reports.

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in a Foreperson role, ideally in high-rise residential or large-scale construction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of groundworks, concrete structures, steelwork, facades, and finishing trades.
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects to a high standard.
  • Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Valid Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and relevant tickets.
