About the Company
Our client is a leading contractor delivering high-profile pharmaceutical and industrial projects across Ireland. They are currently working on a major pharmaceutical facility in Longford town and are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer (CSA) to join their team.
Role Overview
This position involves managing the engineering aspects of the project, ensuring the coordination of subcontractors and maintaining strict quality and compliance standards. The role is heavily focused on overseeing subcontractors, ensuring all engineering elements of the project are completed to specification and in line with programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out to the required quality, safety, and schedule standards.
- Oversee the engineering elements of the project, ensuring structural and architectural work meets design specifications.
- Coordinate with the wider project team to resolve technical issues and streamline workflows.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Review setting out works conducted by Site Engineers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain engineering documentation, including quality reports, progress updates, and as-built records.
Experience & Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in a Senior Site Engineer role, ideally within pharmaceutical or industrial CSA projects, with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor; Irish/UK experience is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple workstreams on a complex site.
- Strong technical understanding of CSA engineering, with the ability to oversee and verify setting out by Site Engineers.
- A third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, OR a strong trade background.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions on-site.
- Knowledge of Irish building regulations and compliance requirements.
