Site Engineers – Residential Construction

Locations: Tallaght & Clondalkin
Salary: €55,000+ (DOE)
Package: Fuel Card, Phone, Laptop
Employer: Tier 2 Contractor

Optimize Recruitment is seeking experienced Site Engineers to join a well-established Tier 2 contractor delivering residential housing and apartment developments. 

The Role

The successful candidates will be responsible for site setting out, utilities, and structural elements, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Setting out and surveying using Total Stations and GPS.
• Managing the layout and installation of utilities, drainage, and site services.
• Coordinating with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and design team to ensure alignment with project plans.
• Conducting quality checks, ensuring accuracy in dimensions and compliance with regulations.
• Assisting in compiling as-built records, reports, and site documentation.
• Overseeing rebar installation, concrete pours, and general structural works.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety standards.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of site engineering experience, ideally in the Irish/UK residential construction industry.
• Strong experience with Total Stations, setting out, and structural elements (rebar, concrete, utilities, and drainage).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and surveying software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Full driving licence.
