Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Hydroecologist to join our clients dynamic team in Galway. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working arrangements, allowing for a combination of office-based and remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage hydroecological projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct detailed hydroecological assessments, including data analysis, and interpretation.
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to water management and ecological conservation.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on hydroecological matters to clients and internal teams.
- Prepare high-quality reports, proposals, and environmental impact assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydroecological considerations into broader environmental and engineering projects.
- Mentor and supervise junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of hydroecological science.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Hydroecology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, with a proven track record of managing complex hydroecological projects.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in hydroecological modeling and statistical analysis software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
