Project Manager – Residential Project – Midleton, Cork

Optimize Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a Tier 2 contractor for a large-scale residential development in Midleton, Cork. This €100M+ project, set to last four years, will deliver over 150 houses and approximately 300 apartments, providing an exciting opportunity for career progression.

Project Start: Late March.

Salary: €70,000 - €90,000+ (negotiable based on experience).
Package: Vehicle, fuel, pension, phone, laptop, with additional benefits open to discussion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall management of the project from inception to completion, ensuring it is delivered on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Monitor site progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct regular progress meetings and provide detailed project reports to senior management.
• Manage and motivate the on-site team to achieve project milestones and deliver quality results.
• Establish strong working relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.

Experience & Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in construction, preferably within the residential sector. Irish/UK experience advantageous.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale residential projects from start to finish.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project planning, and cost management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
