Quantity Surveyor – Residential
Location: Enniscorthy, Wexford (Office-based with site visits to Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, and Wicklow)

Optimize Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable contractor delivering residential projects for local authorities. This role offers the chance to work on projects ranging from €1 million to €10 million, with tailored packages and benefits for the right candidate.

The company, known for its high-quality work and collaborative team environment, operates across the Southeast region. They are looking for an individual ready to make a significant contribution to their continued success.

Responsibilities:

• Procurement of materials and subcontractors.
• Measurements, valuations, and agreement of work sections.
• Liaising with clients, vendors, and construction managers.
• Negotiating project costs and finalising accounts with subcontractors.
• Monitoring costs from vendors or subcontractors and reviewing variances.
• Preparing and managing Monthly/Weekly Cost/Value Reports.
• Remeasurement of completed works.
• Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions.
• Supporting the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Requirements:

• Hold a Degree in Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Quantity Surveying (open to all levels of seniority).
• Strong commercial knowledge and understanding.
• Previous involvement in tenders and pricing.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and planning tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
