Site Manager – Commercial Construction Project
Location: Waterford City
Salary: €75,000 - €85,000 DOE
Package: Bonus (c.10%), Travel Allowance, Vehicle, Pension
Start Date: December or Early January

Optimize Recruitment is working with a leading Southeast-based developer renowned for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a large-scale commercial office project valued at €20m in the heart of Waterford City.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in delivering a marquee project. With structural works nearing completion, the focus will shift to completing the internal fit-out, supervising M&E installations, and managing civil works around the site.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day management of the project, ensuring smooth progression and high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate and liaise with upper management, the design team, and contractors.
• Conduct daily whiteboard meetings, weekly lookahead meetings, and biweekly progress updates.
• Manage quality control, ensuring all works are completed to the highest specifications and safety standards.
• Ensure relevant safety documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Supervise and manage site activities, including ordering materials and coordinating works to maintain project flow.
• Deliver weekly toolbox talks to ensure all contractors are briefed on upcoming works.
• Report quality inspections to the design team and collaborate to address any issues.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing commercial construction projects valued at €15m or more.
• Proven experience in internal fit-outs, M&E coordination, and civil works management.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• A focus on safety and quality, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
• Commutable within 1 hour of Waterford City.
