Senior Project Manager – Bridge Infrastructure

Location: Dublin, Cork, or Galway office
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
Package: Further discussed over telephone call. 
Start Date: December 2024 or January 2025

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and execution of complex bridge infrastructure projects across Ireland. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a proven ability to deliver large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects and guide teams to achieve excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of high-profile bridge infrastructure projects, managing all phases from initiation to completion.
  • Provide leadership for project teams, ensuring effective collaboration across disciplines and departments.
  • Oversee contract management and commercial aspects, ensuring budgets and timelines are maintained.
  • Lead and manage the design process, ensuring innovative and technically sound solutions.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Develop and deliver tender proposals, taking a proactive role in securing new commissions.
  • Ensure all project activities align with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Act as a key liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, building strong and trusted relationships.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Level 8/9).
  • Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) with Engineers Ireland or a recognised professional body.
  • Minimum 10 years’ post-graduate experience, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects in Ireland or the UK.
  • Deep understanding of all stages of a project lifecycle, including concept, detailed design, and delivery.
  • Exceptional ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with modern technologies and industry best practices in bridge construction.
  • Confident communicator with excellent presentation and written skills.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
