Electrical Estimator 

Location: Maynooth, Co. Kildare & Johnstown, Kildare
Salary: €60,000 - €75,000

Position: Permanent, In-Office

Optimize Recruitment is delighted to present exciting opportunities for Electrical Estimators at both senior and trainee levels. Join a reputable electrical contractor known for their expertise in delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for electrical installations, covering materials, labour, and equipment.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and tender documentation to understand scope and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Commercial Manager, Quantity Surveyors, and Contracts Manager to ensure precise costings and smooth project delivery.
• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to secure competitive pricing.
• Contribute to cost control measures and value engineering initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to support project success.

Key Requirements (Senior Level)

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in estimating or quantity surveying for electrical or commercial projects.
• Proven expertise in delivering estimates for large-scale commercial or residential developments.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and relevant industry standards.
• Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Key Requirements (Trainee Level)

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• A keen interest in building a career in electrical estimation within the commercial sector.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
