Maintenance Manager (Laois)
Our client, a leading manufacturing company established in the mid-1980s, employs over 40 staff. Due to ongoing expansion, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing both proactive and reactive maintenance across all factory plants.
This position requires an individual with proven experience in team management and comprehensive maintenance skills, including preventative maintenance strategies.
Working closely with the senior management team, the successful individual will ahev the following:
- 5+ years’ experience in a Maintenance Management role.
- Qualification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment.
- Experience in using and managing preventative maintenance systems.
- Electrical skillset is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid, clean driving license.
- Good IT skills (MS office) & excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is completed on schedule.
- Uphold Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards in line with company policies and regulations.
- Implement, drive, and enhance existing preventative maintenance programs.
- Source everyday parts, services, and manage third-party repairs.
- Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance programs.
- Support and drive continuous improvement projects.
- Efficiently prioritize and allocate work using available resources.
- Conduct stock checks and maintain system records.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
- Assist in engineering budgeting and cost analysis.
