Intermediate Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) - Part Time Available
Waterford City
Construction Consultancy Firm
€45,000 - €60,000 d.o.e.
Hybrid Options with Full Office Set up (fully remote also available d.o.e.)

Overview:
A driven and detail-oriented Junior/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor is required for an immediate start with a thriving PQS practice in the Southeast. This role provides a rewarding career opportunity within a progressive company, with structured support available for achieving chartered status if required. You'll join a collaborative team focused on impactful project work across commercial, educational, residential, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Measure and calculate quantities from drawings for project estimations.
  • Develop BOQs for tendering and cost planning.
  • Price and estimate to maintain budget alignment.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for client planning.
  • Compile tender documentation per project requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor tender invitations and selection.
  • Review and approve subcontractor valuations for budget compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying with strong numerical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Previous post-graduate experience in a PQS environment is preferred
  • Skilled in Excel and ideally proficient with Cubit software
  • Sound understanding of commercial and contractual principles
  • Strong team player, motivated by opportunities for career advancement and personal growth
  • Experience in the Irish/UK Industry or with a Leading Construction Consultancy
