Hydrogeologist (Associate Director)
Dublin / Hybrid

Our client is an industry leader, providing an extensive range of environmental services including those related to Environmental Impact Assessment & Hydrogeology.

Currently in the process of relocating to brand new offices in Dublin, our client has an amazing opportunity at Associate Director level, to join their team. Hybrid working with flexibility.

This opportunity may suit an individual in a similar level role or looking to take their next career step and move to Associate director level, joining a young innovative management team.

Project portfolio scopes from large scale renewable energy projects, contaminated land projects, thermal generation projects, wind & solar farms, EPA licensed sites and long-term monitoring and modelling projects. 

The successful individual will have the following:

  • Qualified with a relevant environmental or earth science degree (Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Science, Hydrology)
  • Previous team leader skills with management responsibilities.  
  • Substantial experience in the provision of hydrogeology services at a senior level.
  • Considerable experience with taking a leading role with the management of bids and project.
  • Good understanding of budgetary management.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Experience of working on renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent IT skills such as Word, Excel, Access.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Experience with hydrogeological modelling software would be advantageous
  • A postgraduate qualification in either Hydrogeology and/or Environmental Impact Assessment or Chartership would be advantageous. 

Working closely with the operations manager and the management team, responsibilities of the role will include: 

  • Providing technical and managerial leadership of the EIA and Hydrogeology teams
  • Designing and reviewing Environmental Impact Assessments for relevant Hydrogeology chapters.
  • Responsible for the technical output of the team & reviewing 3rd party reports
  • Mentoring team members as they develop their technical skills.
  • Budgetary management
  • Design of site investigation and field-based works.
