Senior Water Quality Scientist - Cork 

Our client is seeking an experienced Water Quality Scientist to join their team. The position will require the individual to work in a team for water projects, schemes, address general water use and  management issues throughout Ireland.

The successful individual will ideally be an environmental scientist, water chemist, or water  quality expert.

The successful individual will have the following:

• Good knowledge of water quality / chemistry aspects of ecological status
• Good understanding of the kind of measures that need to be implemented  to  improve poor water quality.
• Good understanding of the main water quality issues adversely impacting Ireland’s water resources, primarily  from  agriculture  (nutrients,  pesticides) but  also  from  wastewater treatment in urban centres.
• Excellent knowledge of water chemistry and the behaviour of common pollutants of freshwater resources.
• Hold a minimum of Degree level qualification
• Relevant work experience, gained some experience in a consultancy environment.
• Chartered level ideally.
• Experience pf proposal and tender writing.
• Full Irish / EU driving licence.
• Excellent communication skills.
