NPD Technologist

Leading FMCG company based in South Tipperary as an opportunity for NPD Technologist to join their growing team.

The successful individual will have the following:

• BSc Food Science/Technology/Nutrition or related degree, ideally
• Minimum of 1+years industry experience in a product development
• Experience in related role in the Food and Drinks category would be advantageous.
• A passion for creative is essential
• Good product development & organisational skills
• Excellent IT skills are essential

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Support projects to create new product ideas and formulations.
• Support the scale-up of new products through factory trials with technical teams.
• Develop prototype recipes.
• Monitor current trends in beverages, ingredients, and consumer preferences.
• Manage all document control.
• Collaborate with the Sensory and Commercial teams to set benchmarks.
• Conduct product assessments.
• Coordinate brainstorming sessions to generate and manage new product ideas.
• Conduct competitor product benchmarking.
• Provide information to the finance department for product costings
• Maintain compliance to the Food Quality and Safety system.
