Our client is a highly respected construction company with deep roots in the Southeast of Ireland. Renowned for delivering high-quality construction projects, particularly in the residential sector, they maintain a strong presence in both Munster and Leinster. The company has built a reputation for excellence through effective collaboration with clients, design teams, and suppliers.

Optimize Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Manager with over 5 years of experience to join our client’s team for a significant residential development in Dungarvan, Waterford. This role provides the opportunity to lead a large-scale project with a well-established main contractor.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as a Site Manager with a main contractor in Ireland, preferably on residential projects.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with project stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and other relevant software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site operations, ensuring that the project is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Manage and coordinate site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.
  • Review and interpret project drawings and specifications, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the design intent.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations on-site.
  • Maintain detailed site records, including daily progress reports, safety inspections, and materials tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with the project manager and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates on site progress.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during the construction process in a timely and effective manner.
  • Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among all site personnel.
