Project Manager - Main Contractor

Optimize Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager with 4 years of experience to oversee a major residential development in Dungarvan, Waterford. This role offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to lead a large-scale project from inception to completion with a reputable main contractor.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A third-level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 4 years of experience as a Project Manager, ideally with a main contractor in the Irish Construction
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Comprehensive understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and other relevant project management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, ensuring that all aspects are managed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting.
- Oversee the work of the site manager, site engineers, and other key personnel, ensuring effective coordination of all site activities.
- Liaise closely with clients, design teams, and subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management, highlighting project progress, financial status, and any issues that need to be addressed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to pursue excellence in all aspects of their work.
