Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Dublin Port (Site-Based)
Working Type: Hybrid/Remote depending on experience.
Sector: Civils & Marine

Role Overview: Optimize are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering commercial management services for a marine based project in Dublin Port.

Responsibilities:

  • Developed comprehensive bottom-up forecasts at the contract award stage.
  • Oversaw subcontract and material procurement schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Created and managed supply chain ITT’s, including subcontract and professional services agreements.
  • Accurately recorded costs at month-end, including calculation of project accruals.
  • Maintained and updated Cost to Complete and Risk Analysis Registers.
  • Prepared and presented monthly CVR reports along with other necessary project documentation.
  • Enhanced cash flow by optimizing WIP control and implementing cash flow improvement strategies.
  • Identified and managed commercial risks, opportunities, and change orders, while driving value engineering efforts.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics (RICS Accredited).
  • Ideally, a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a deep understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and CESSM4 measurement methods.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in project controls, risk analysis, contract administration, and claims management.
  • Background in Marine and Civils projects is advantageous.
