Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cavan
Type: Based in-office, with weekly or bi-weekly site visits

Optimize Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor for a market-leading specialist contractor in mechanical and electrical installations. This contractor is involved in projects across various sectors such as Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Food Processing, Data Centres, and Technology.

Due to continued growth and an extensive pipeline of work, there is an exciting opportunity to join their head office team in Cavan.

The Role:

• Oversee the management of the tendering team across Ireland, UK & Europe, including the completion and settlement of live tenders.
• Financial management of projects from start to finish.
• Ensure tender schedules and settlements are on target and manage the tender handover process to site teams.
• Update and issue weekly tender trackers to team regions and senior management, including current tenders, scopes, client details, and follow-up actions.
• Oversee the monthly certification process for agreed projects and manage assigned project accounts.

Role Requirements:

• Quantity surveying qualification with at least 4 years of work experience in Ireland/Europe.
• Knowledge of Navisworks/CAD/P3 Programming/BIM.
• Experience in construction planning, programming, and control.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry with previous mechanical experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Highly proficient in the Microsoft suite.
