Junior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

Location: Cavan
Type: Based in-office, with weekly or bi-weekly site visits

Optimize Recruitment is seeking a Junior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor for a market-leading specialist contractor in mechanical and electrical installations. Our Client is involved in projects across sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Food Processing, Data Centres, and Technology. 

The Role:

• Manage the financial aspects of projects from start to finish.
• Plan, program, and schedule the duration of works.
• Identify and report potential commercial risks to Senior Management promptly.
• Complete monthly valuations and cost reports, comparing budget to actual performance.
• Record, report, and manage project risks, variations, and cost overruns.

Role Requirements:

• Quantity surveying qualification and previous work experience in Ireland.
• Knowledge of Navisworks/CAD/P3 Programming/BIM is preferable.
• Experience in construction planning, programming, and control.
• Strong understanding of the construction industry with mechanical experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
