Health and Safety Lead
Dublin City & Newbridge
Industrial Construction Projects

Optimize working closely with our highly regarded client, are seeking a Health and Safety lead to work on 3 separate sites in the Dublin & Kildare regions.
The successful candidate will have gained over 5 years of experience, ideally having experience from a Tier 1 or 2 Contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management to uphold and enhance the company's health, safety, and environmental (EHS) standards, driving the development of improved EHS practices, policies, and procedures.
• Stay updated on new legislation and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
• Provide daily advice on health, safety, and environmental issues on-site, participate in site meetings, and lead site safety meetings.
• Conduct site inspections and audits, write reports, deliver site inductions, and toolbox talks.
• Recommend corrective actions to project/site managers for risks identified in inspection and audit reports.
• Draft, review, and enhance Contract Award/Pre-Construction Stage documents and Construction Management Plans, including risk assessments and method statements, advising on further risk mitigation.

Requirements:

• Hold a BSc in Health and Safety, Higher Diploma SHWW, or Diploma SHWW.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must have Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications.
• Essential experience in the construction sector.
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Proactive and self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, with excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
