Our esteemed client, a leading local building contractor, offers a steady flow of diverse and exciting projects in Waterford. Optimize Recruitment are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 2+ years of experience in the Construction Industry. Previous experience or placement with a Tier 1 building contractor is highly advantageous.

Key Requirements

• Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience: 2 - 5 years in a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong customer relationship development.
  • Concurrent management of multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in current contract law.
  • Potential for chartered status.
  • Excellent IT skills.

Role Responsibilities

• Lifecycle Management: Oversee all commercial aspects of project lifecycles.
• Cost and Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough cost and risk assessments.
• Reporting: Prepare cost reports and projections.
• Cashflow Management: Manage project cashflows effectively.
• Subcontractor Management: Handle the commercial management of subcontractors.
• Project Costing: Provide accurate project costing, margin, and cashflow reports.
• Change Order Procedures: Manage and agree on project change order costs with clients.
• Valuations and Certifications: Provide monthly valuations and certifications.
• Final Accounts: Agree on final accounts.
